Reaching Our Students Through Broadcast Journalism

Lenora Braynon Smith Elementary School is a Controlled Choice School that offers a program in Broadcast Journalism that allows students to develop communication skills in a variety of career related jobs. This program is designed to increase students' knowledge in reading, writing, mathematics and speaking, using real-life experiences.  It is also designed to introduce students to the skills necessary for future career opportunities in broadcast journalism. Use of a variety of communication technology tools enhances the student's capacity to comprehend concepts and skills.
