This research-based reading program utilizes oral language, phonemic awareness,
systematic phonics, word analysis, vocabulary building, fluency, and
comprehension. The reading leader implements the program.
SRA ---
The SRA Reading
Mastery Program incorporates techniques for teaching both comprehension and
decoding and integrating them into successful reading. The large research base
of Reading Mastery distinguishes it from other commercially developed reading
programs. The specific instructional techniques, as well as the program as a
whole, have proven superior in extensive research involving students of all
abilities levels.
FAST FORWARD --- This computer driven program
helps participants who are struggling with reading skills. It automatically
adapts to the individual participant’s ability level and uses both visual and
auditory stimulation. Used mostly for our ESOL and ESE population, it helps
students acquire skills in phonemes, semantics, syntax and pragmatics.
